Recently I’ve been using the AVEDA Damage Remedy Restructuring Shampoo & Conditioner. After discovering this elixir of the hair world I read up about the brand and gravitated towards it even more.
Aveda is the first beauty company to manufacture solely from wind turbine power. They believe in environmental leadership and responsibility, and do this by giving back to ecosystems, supporting communities by building schools, fundraising for charities and constantly looking for local solutions to global challenges. Aveda’s ethos is to ‘change the world by changing the way the world does business’. Aveda’s products are also naturally based and 95% of their oils are organic.
Initially, I was confused as to why the Aveda Shampoo didn’t lather up but after reading the ingredients I realized Aveda products are sulphate free. Sulphate cause the foaming that cleans the hair of oils and dirt but can also cause irritation and strip its natural oils.
On average, I wash my hair once every three days. I massage a generous amount of conditioner into the lengths and leave it to soak in for a few minutes before rinsing off. The smell of this product is subtle unlike your usual high street brands.
Since using the product over the last 6 weeks my unruly ends have become moisturized and rehydrated. I would definitely recommend the AVEDA Damage Remedy Shampoo & Conditioner for anyone wanting to change over styled, damaged locks to hair that is vibrant and healthy.
Besides that, there’s something extremely gratifying about supporting a brand that takes social responsibility and gives back to our world.
