Jada is multi-hyphenate: creator, disrupter and change-maker.
She is a pioneer in the fashion industry: modelling for Topshop, Speedo, Tommy Hilfiger and Moët; a global campaign for L’Oreal alongside Dame Helen Mirren and a total of 3 international Adidas campaigns. She was the first size 16 model on ASOS, then graced the cover the Womens Health 2019 and Cosmopolitan magazine 2020.
Alongside her BA in Psychology, MA in Child Psychotherapy and Dipolma’s in Neuroplasticity and Cryptocurrency with Blockchain, Jada is also an ambassador for UN Women UK
Her commitment to pushing the fashion industry forward and be more inclusive has contributed to her ‘influence’ in a modern digital age.
In 2021, after a decade, Jada decided to leave the modelling industry, taking sometime out to immerse herself in the startup world and female founder community.
Timeline
2011
Completed MA in Child Psychotherapy.
2012
Began creating content online and building a social media presence through shooting editorial style of herself, reimagining what fashion could be with larger bodies, her images went viral.
2013
Face of British Plus Size Fashion Weekender during London Fashion Week and signed to leading modelling agent.
First size 16 model for ASOS.
Young Minds Charity ambassador, supporting young people with their mental health and managing the pressures of social media.
2014
Moved to New York, shooting with household brands like Target, Old Navy, American Eagle. Walked at NYFW show for Isabel Toledo.
Began blogging about mental health, self development and her modelling journey at jadasezer.com.
2015
Expanded her model territories to UK, US and now Europe.
2016
Independently designed and launched her self titled fashion line ‘SEZER by Jada Sezer’. An exclusive capsule collection of luxury basics ranging from sizes 6-26, aiming to bridge the division of sizes and merge mainstream and plus-size size ranges in the contemporary fashion sector.
Joined the Womens Equality Party to tackle unhealthily small sample sizes that impact models mental and physical health. Campaigning for legislation to protect models and make it mandatory that agents priorities health. #NoSizeFitsAll.
2017
Became a L’oreal Princes Trust Ambassador and face of L’oreals rebrand from “because I am worth it” to “ because we are all worth it” alongside Cheryl Cole and Dame Helen Mirren. #AllWorthIt.
Expanded her modelling territories to UK, US, Europe and Australia.
2018
Ran the London Marathon in her underwear with journalist Bryony Gorden, raising £25,000 for Mind Charity.
2019
Partnered with Vitality 10k to encourage and support women of all sizes celebrate their bodies through fitness. 1000 women ran 10K together in their underwear #CelebrateYou.
Travelled to Sierra Leone with Save The Children where she met with teenage mothers in slum communities who are battling school exclusion and social isolation due to early pregnancy.
Launched ‘Unsubscribe’ the podcast, with co host Louise Troen, interviewing women who had remained resilient in the face of adversity and discrimination.
